I've received a couple (okay, two) LiveJournal "nudges" since I last updated so I figured it was time to make all (okay, two) my adoring fans happy and write a few lines.
The new apartment is so sweet and I could spend forever talking about it so let's just say that it's very nice and I'll post pictures very soon.
The main reason that I haven't been updating is because we (finally) trashed my old desk from high school that was falling apart and bought a new one. The only thing is that it is still sitting in my car waiting to be unloaded. I swear (to myself, my husband, and everyone that has looked in the study and asked "why is the computer on the floor?") that I will bring it in today and Christopher can set it up. It's nothing fancy, just another 50 dollar flat-packed desk from Target but it looks nice and it was just time to get rid of the old one. It served it's purpose for a VERY long time (I got my first computer in 1997 and since I was paying for it, my parents bought me the desk) and I shall miss it very much. Okay, I won't but I feel bad for throwing out something that was technically usable so I'm trying to get rid of the guilty feeling.
I'm at work right now and I'm on my lunch. Yes, I get off work at 10pm and I'm eating my "lunch" at 8:30. I guess I'll write more about that and everything else that has been going on later. I'll try my best to get the desk set up this evening but if not, I guess I'll find some time to get on this weekend. I'm off but there is still some unpacking (books, mostly) to do and I have so many places to go. Christopher's mother is coming over on Saturday along with April, Dave and the baby but before that, we still have to go to Target, the grocery store, the mall and I would also like to check out the farmer's market. I am hoping that since it's March in Houston, there will be some strawberries but I am not getting my hopes up. The local grocery store had them on sale for 1.50 each and I swear, they barely made it IN the house before I ate them all. Thankfully, Christopher's step-mother is as much of a strawberry aficionado as I am and she told Christopher that she wants to take me to one of the strawberry farms sometime this spring. Sadly, all I have right now is a tangelo and a Diet Cherry Coke but it'll do.
