I think I have a cavity of some sort - I noticed today that my back molar has a dark spot on it, almost like there is a piece of food or something on it except it's not because I've spent the last 5 hours at work poking and prodding it and it just won't budge. So, I called a dentist by the apartment and set up an appointment for Saturday at 11 only to find out that they don't take Aetna PPO. Now I have to wait until Friday morning to call around begging someone to see me on Saturday. I'm weird (who knew?) - I can't STAND to have anything going on with my teeth - it's like "get it out, get it out now!" so I don't want to go any longer than I have to with this THING in my mouth. When I was hit by a truck back in 96, I lost one of my front teeth - it landed about 12 feet away from me on the other side of the street in four different pieces. I didn't care about the fact that I had a concussion, bruised rib, shattered hip spur and various other bumps and bruises, no, no, no. I had to be sedated over the fact that my tooth was missing and there was nothing there to replace it. When the dentist told me it'd be three to four weeks for the crown to be made, I almost died right then and there. So I really, really, really hope I can get into a dentist on Saturday.
In better news, almost all of the Christmas shopping is done. The only two people left on the list are people that Christopher has to shop for because he knows them way better than I do. Everyone else is pretty much done or almost done (just have to order the item or pick it up, blah blah blah) so that's good.
My lunch is almost over - this sucks. Where the hell does 40 minutes go? At least there's only three more hours left but that's not really any consolation because I have to be back here again tomorrow. But hey, it's holiday pay and I'm off this weekend so I shouldn't complain. I'm only really mad right now because we HAD four people working but one of them went home and the other one likes to turn her phone off all night so really it's like working with two people. It's surprisingly busy for the day before a holiday but that's good because it makes the night go by faster even if most of the people calling are pissed-off-because-they-are-working-on-the-day-before-a-holiday-and-think-that-you-should-really-lay-off-on-paging-them-even-though-you-have-no-control-over-the-moms-and-dads-of-the-chemotherapy-patients doctors and nurses.
