Oh, wow. I love how this whole thing manages to capture and keep the entire tone of the movie. How you've just taken that sort of melancholy and expanded on it and even made it WORSE in that the end was anti-climatic and they're all still there just carrying on. This was so painful and somehow still hot. SO very well done.

I often have the thought that the joke was on them and it wasn't the end of the world. Love how you've handled that here--the only "end" was of people's making! And I adore that last line, which is pure poetry. Brava!
