ABC book discussion

I would feel bad if I end up having Ana(🍌) explain this to me again.
So I'll just leave this here.

D: He finds the result humiliating to him and we see this crane sinking.

E: Mark Twain writes how he envies them (animals) the 'dignity of their estate' and then on the illustration we can see this helicopter's estate--he's falling apart.
Maybe this quote could fit better with B-- blameless, she notes.
note: " [...] I envy them the dignity of their estate, its purity and its loftiness, and recognise that the Moral Sense is a thoroughly disastrous thing".

I suppose not many people would undestand what the building in the back of this illustration is--it'is the sarcophagus referenced from Chage and Aska's 'On Your Mark' video, and it refers to the Chernobyl power plant.
F: Ana points out how with this image (upon understanding what the building refers to) Twain's irony doubles (his irony plus the irony in the picture). How great man is and how great disasters he can cause. But as the author says, we 'must contemplate them with respect'.

G: This quote could work well with P, says Ana. [...] 'we have those three unspeakably precious things: freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the prudence never to practise either'.
However it works just perfect with G as well-- goodness of God. There are three machines in the drawing and three truths Twain talks about. The two helicopters are the freedoms (freedom of speech and freedom of conscience)--the infinite possibilities you could choose from, and then there is the car (prudence never to practise either). You could choose flight, but you have to come down to earth and drive the remaining rusty car .

We talked about meritocracy this time. .... Anyway...
H: He says 'your dog would go in and you would stay out' and the sign ☢ attached to the pole points out  exactly to 'stay out'

K: Education is the vast sky with limitless possibilities. The pump jacks are the borders of man. He's limited and dependant to them. Also it's funny how he uses an oxymoron-- vast limits.
Also, the oil that man is unceasingly and restlessly drilling is limited!!
