I had a pretty awesome day today. I started my shift early thanks to the other hat writer being very, very late. Apparently, as of yesterday, the Resort is rolling out a new plan where the Cast Members get to play with the toys to get interest from the Guests and to bring fun back into their jobs. I pretty much played with the bubble gun all day long, along with a crazy string toy I've always wondered about. Seriously, we've sold that thing since day one and I've never known what it was or how it worked.
On top of that, my manager called me into the office and gave me a bag full of stuff like a poster, cookies, a travel mug, and random fruit snacks. The bag also had a small thank you card from the management team for being a Trainer. Apparently, it's Lead and Trainer appreciation week.
Today was really hot though. Apparently, Mother Nature felt the taunt when everyone said that it wasn't really that hot this summer. It may be the first week of Autumn, but today was a record-breaking 113ºF at the Resort. Bleh.
Oh yeah. *waves* Still alive.
