Try saving the file as a gif instead of a jpg?

I tried that too but it didn't work. I'm still at a lose for why it wouldn't go below 20 kb.

huh, that's weird, I've never had that problem with making the IDs...Well, I always have more issues with the 50x50 part. When you save it as a jpeg, does your version of photoshop ask what level of interlacing you want? If it does, make sure to set it low. Good luck!
