My first Quote of the Week comes from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:

"Believe me, every man has his secret sorrows,
which the world knows not; and oftimes
we call a man cold, when he is only sad."

I thought it appropriate to start with this quote because not only is it one of my very favorites, but the 199th anniversary of Longfellow’s birth was

Very interesting. I can't imagine what it was like to watch people die untimely all the time under the harder conditions of life we used to live in, it's hard enough seeing people die pointlessly nowadays.
