Still pregnant.... *sigh*

Seriously, Gabriel...ANYTIME you're ready to make your grand entrance into the world would be GREAT, though sooner rather than later would be just AWESOME. Mommy and Daddy are ready to meet you, you little bratling!!

So, I had my doc's appointment today. I dropped my cup of pee on the floor. Yep, that's me. I'm soooo clumsy anymore...well, more so than usual, lol. The girls at the doctor's office were nice about it, though. They laughed with me. :) I said, "I bet that's not the first time that's happened," and they just kind of looked at me, then told me it was. *dies* I told them I was just keeping them on their toes. :D

I didn't have the doc strip my membranes today. One of my stipulations was that I would be at least 2-3 cm's dialated, and I'm still between 1-2. Also, Jamie (the girl that does the ultrasounds) told me it hurts like hell, so I chickened out. :D All right, so I *know* labor is going to hurt, but there was no guarantee that stripping my membranes would send me into labor, and I really don't want to put myself though any unnecessary pain, lol. I figure if I haven't gone into labor by my next appointment, I'll have him do it then b/c that way I at least won't have to go to work afterwards and I can go home and lay on the couch if I want. :p So...we shall see, we shall see. HOPEFULLY I'll go into labor before then, and it'll be a moot point. *crosses fingers*

Work was exhausting tonight. I typed some stuff for Carole b/c we have Peer Review coming up, and everyone always gets their panties in a wad about that. I took a crisis call from a dumbass who didn't listen to me when I told her the situation was not DV but still wouldn't take any of the suggestions I gave her, and was adamant about speaking with someone face to face. I gave her the number to the court house office, and when I talked to one of the ladies that works at the CH office, she said that she's going to tell her the same thing I did. Whatev. Then, I had an intake, and it took me two hours to do, and that was with Robin (the lady who was on-call) there to watch the lady's kids and help out with the other residents. Intakes always take a lot out of me, and this one was worse b/c the kids were the ones bearing the brunt of the abuse. The abuser is in jail for aggravated battery against the woman's FIVE year old son. In fact, the ONLY reason the lady came in was b/c the Child Protective Services case worker told her if she didn't come to shelter, she would take the kids tomorrow morning. Nice. She even told me that she would be going home as soon as the CPS case worker told her it was okay. It's people like her that really piss me off and make me completely disillusioned with the social work field.

Anyway, that's enough of a work rant. :D If I keep talking about it, I'll just get more pissed off, and hey, I only have TWO days left, then I'm off till mid-August with the exception of my CPR/First Aid recertification on June 15th. Woo-hoo!!

Anyway, I'm going to go get in the bath and enjoy some warm bathy goodness. :D

lovelove.
