(no subject)
I'm sure everyone's tired of pics but posting them makes me happy so Im gonna do it anyway =)
I took my friend Katie's Quarter Horse mare, Polly, to a horse show with my friend Sean on Saturday. Polly is Western broke and hadn't jumped in two years, and I hadn't jumped since I moved out here. So Katie calls me last weekend and asks if I want to show Polly. So I told her I would ride her this week and see how I feel after I jump her. I'm so glad we went! It was a blast and super nice day!!
I also rode my first dressage test, Intro W/T Test A and got a score of 59.5% (even with Sean calling out the test to me and havign me forget where the letters in the ring were!). Then we did the crossrail jumpers and the 2'-2'3" jumpers. We got a 1st in our dressage test, a 1st in our crossrails and a 3rd in our 2'-2'3" jumpers. Sean won both of his tests and got a second in his jumper class.

Katie also started to teach me how to barrel race (in my english saddle)...so in exchange Im teaching her how to jump. We are going to try to go to some games shows this summer so I can try my hand at the "other world" of riding! Also, they are going to teach me how to team pen. Sean is trying to convert me to a dressage rider and I told him I would be willing to try it again because it was a blast.
OK off to study for finals.
