poor kitty...

Sometimes it feels like one thing after another. Went to my physical today...of course my alarm totally didn't go off so I ended up rushing there...made it in time but was all flustered and freaked out. I'm sure I totally came across as a spaz. They're like super anal about the drug test, which was kinda weird. I suppose they have reason to be paranoid about it...but it was still really odd.

Then my stuff came today...which was both good...and bad. Good in that I finally have a bed to sleep on and I'm so excited for that. Finally a good night of sleep. THe bad is that with all my stuff came a whole flood of memories. I was so sad, thinking about the people I'd left...or had left me. The house I was renting...that it's over. It's really good I didn't bring the couches, I feel like that would have been too much.

Then I ended up having to take Lucy to the emergency pet clinic. When the guy was bringing the bed stuff up to the attic room, all the sudden Lucy poofed and hissed and got all upset...totally not like her. I tried putting her in the closet but she freaked out so then I stuck her in the bathroom, totally baffled as to what her deal was. About 15 minutes later the guys left and I let Lucy out and she was limping and not wanting to step on her paw. She let me touch her leg down to the toes but not the toes and she'd put some weight on it but was favoring it...it looked a little funny. So off to the emergency room. A few x-rays later, they confirm she dislocated two toes on her front right paw and luckily, the feline orthopedic surgeon was there to reduce them. She got really upset and started growling and all...but she settled a bit and her nose went nuts when I picked up some Arby's for her on the way home. She's totally favoring it still but hopefully it'll get better over the next couple days. I feel so awful though because she looks miserable and I know it had to hurt and she was such a good kitty about it. Poor little kitten hopping around here on three legs.
