OMG! Is it Smutmas yet??
*checks calendar and clock*
*sighs*
! Been having a crappy couple of days for a couple of reasons that I don't really want to talk about, so instead, in order to cheer myself up, I'll post about the good stuff that I've been up to the past week or so.
@ Thanksgiving was good - my sister is turning into quite the chef! Pretty funny considering our mother never let us cook anything at home because we'd make too much of a mess. Even "baking cookies" when we were kids consisted of her buying the pillsbury loaf, and then we got to put the pieces on the cookie sheet. Whee! Dinner was yummy, the kids were adorable, but the only bad bit was that my dad was sick and couldn't come. :( I missed it last year because I went into the hospital. Wow! Can't believe it's been a year already!
# Friday we took the kids to see Happy Feet which was so adorably awesome! The kids loved it, even though Hannah kept asking me "Why did they do that?" or "Where are they going?" every few minutes.
$ I actually went to a store on Black Friday - Linens & Things (on the way home from dinner) - where I bought the most awesome sheets! (And a new pillow and a queen size fleecy blanky and an awesome microsuede body pillowcase!) They're this gorgeous shade of brown - no really, they really are nice! 500 count! And they look and feel awesome on my bed!
% Saturday, xingou and paranoidsistah came over. They made me watch Manga - Princess Princess, another with two former adult star actors, and some other one with two gay NY cops on vacation in England. Heh. PS cooked four-cheese ziti, and after dinner and wine, we proceeded to get very very drunk by drinking an entire bottle of Patron tequila.
So drunk in fact, that one of my neighbors called the cops on us. I felt like I was 22 all over again. *g* Of course, I've been giving all of my neighbors the evil eye ever since, since I don't know who it was. Though we were really loud, and since we were watching Manga/Yaoi or whatever it was, our conversation wasn't exactly Family Hour. And the window was open. Um. Oops? We also might have called best_of_five and left her one or two (or seventeen) voice mail messages.
And xingou! I opened my freezer on Monday and found the plate with the shot glasses and lime remnants in there!! WTF girlfriend?? :-P
^ I am totally in love with my merry_smutmas fic. But I can't say anything about that so: MMMMMMPHMM! MMhmmmmmmm hmmm hmm HMMMPH SQUMMMPHMMMMMM!
& Went to see Casino Royale tonight, and it was also pretty awesome. I think it's the first Bond film I've seen in the theaters since Moonraker, and despite my previous love for Sean Connery and Roger Moore, I think it's my new favorite Bond movie, and Daniel Craig is my new favorite Bond.
* It's supposed to be 70 degrees on Friday. WTF? Where's my snow?
That's enough for now. I owe belated b-day wishes to a few of you, but since I'm already late, what's another day? (*g*)
