Done!
With my last fic of the year! Well, not this year. For last year, even though I just finished it tonight. :-P
It was a thank-you drabble/ficlet ... that's 5,800 words. I fail so hard at short.
In 2011, I wrote two fics from January to November - a Charlie/Teddy that was @ 3,300 words - and my remix fic - a Saiyuki/Pirates of the Caribbean crossover that was @ 8,700 words. In the last seven weeks or so, I wrote FIVE fics! One was my actual assignment for rs_small_gifts (20,200 words), another my assignment for weiss_kreuzmas (3,100 words), and the last three were bonus drabble/ficlets for small gifts that ended up at 3,800, 3,700, and now 5,800 words, the last of which should be posted tomorrow.
I am so done that you could stick a fork in me and I wouldn't even twitch.
But it was fun and rather invigorating to write them all, and even more, I actually managed to commit porn after a two year dry spell! And one is a threesome! Go me!
I still have one fic I'm determined to finish that I started FIVE AND A HALF YEARS AGO. But not this week. Or probably next. Too much end-of-year work plus all my regular work. Oh, god, this is how it starts, doesn't it. I don't have time to finish it now so I put it off for a couple months, just until the beginning of March or so, except then in March there's something else that's shiny, like Remix, and then after that there may be Reversathon, and then I get in my "I don't feel like writing" funk until the holiday fests start, and then I'll be back here next January kvetching about that fic I started SIX AND A HALF YEARS AGO, and oh, just kill me now.

I did manage to catch Sherlock the movie and Sherlock the BBC series. I know a number of people had issues with one or the other or both, but to be honest, despite their flaws - which they do have - and this may sound a bit callous, I don't particularly care because I really loved and enjoyed both of them a lot. A lot a lot! Bring on the Hounds! \o/
My JYJ boys -- who continue to be the most gorgeous, adorable dorks ever -- are finally getting their own youtube channel on Monday, and I may have watched this announcement video a few too many times (even before it was English subbed at this link) just to hear them say "slash" over and over again because I am a sad, sad fangirl. (It sounds like "slushy" when they say it.) They also have a new Facebook page, but Facebook is the antichrist.
I suppose I should go to sleep sometime soon, but I spent most of the day sleeping and not going to work because I felt really, really crappy and almost fainted twice. My first thought was that even if I did pass out, I wasn't going to call the paramedics because my apartment was messy. Also, I wasn't wearing underwear. Priorities! I haz 'em! And then I felt better when I woke up and finished my fic. \o/
I'm sure I'll find something to keep my occupied. like watching that JYJ vid again. And again.
