RACHEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*shakes fist*

I had a very brief whirlwind visit from xingou Monday night/Tuesday, which... it was awesome to see her, since she used to live around the corner, but moved away a while back, and we haven't been able to see each other much since.

Except the evil wench made me listen to (read: watch videos of) Super Junior, who, from what I have gleaned, are a boy band on steroids. To hell with NKotB, 'N Sync, Backstreet Boys. Pffffbt. They were small potatoes. These guys are apparently beyond epic. There are also twelve thirteen of them. Well, ten now, since two one had to leave because they were drafted into he had to enlist in the military. (They're a Korean band, and military service is apparently mandatory in S. Korea. I can only imagine the cries of the fangirls when that went down.) **One is off pursuing a full time acting career and has effectively left the band, and the other is in a contract dispute and wants out of his contract.** They're not a boy band, they're a bloody platoon!

But see, the thing is, I CAN'T STOP WATCHING THIS DAMN VIDEO/LISTENING TO THIS DAMN SONG!

I cut the embed, just in case.

The boy band craze hit when I was in college, so my era boy bands were, you know, The Jackson Five. Okay, very briefly New Edition with the whole "Candy Girl" thing. (Or, was "Musical Youth" (of Pass the Dutchie fame) considered a boy band? :-P) I admit to liking some 'N S and BSB songs here and there but I was never even remotely "OMG! *flail*". I can take 'em or leave 'em, and usually I'm happy to leave them.

Okay, I'm not exactly *flail*ing, but damn, these boys are adorable! And some of them are pretty damn hot. Um. No, really, I'm not drooling. Christ, is this how men feel when they have mid-life crises? No, there will not be fic. No, I will not go looking for fic.

No, seriously, I dare you to watch/listen to this song and not, you know, bop around in your chair or feel an urge to get up and dance or lick your monitor. It's like the best workout song ever! It's also a ridiculous earworm (some of the lyrics are in English, the rest is Korean) and I swear, I was even dreaming about it because IT IS IN MY HEAD AND WON'T GO AWAY.

I suppose I didn't help my cause when I downloaded it from iTunes....

Break it down to you, down to you...

I even played it for gryffindor_J over the phone.

Oh, God. My OCD is showing. Someone stop me. My poor downstairs neighbors...

the adorableness and hawtness of suju, music, k-pop goes my brain, help! clowns will eat me
