Happy Valentine's Day, and Happy Chinese New Year! (Tiger ROWR!)
I am desperately trying to finish my next_gen fic, and you'd think, with all of this "day of love" blah blah valentine's, that porn would come easy today of all days. You'd guess wrong. *bangs head against wall*
I have the Olympics on in the background. I LOVE the Olympics. Always have. Women's moguls last night was crazy, and awesome to watch. Not that I could ever do moguls. Two and out on my best day - that's me. One of the skiers had like three surgeries on each knee, another was skiing with a torn ACL. They're completely insane! Still, fun to watch! GO USA! :-D
Still really sad about the Georgian luger. *sigh* His teammate withdrew from the luge competition, which is also sad, considering how hard he must have worked and trained just to get there. I was watching the first runs of men's luge last night. There was definitely a lot less excitement than usual and a veil of somberness seemed to hang over everything.
Short track was exciting to watch, and Korea nearly swept the final. *ooooh wipeout!* I was really excited for the bronze medalist - JR someone (I forget). At the trials, he had a really bad accident, sliced his leg with his skate and nearly bled out on the ice. He literally could have died. But he came back and he got the bronze. This is exactly why I love the Olympics. :)
The opening ceremony was pretty cool. I LOVED the whales! ZOMG! I want that on MY floor! :-P And the music was fabulous. Sarah, kd, Bryan Adams, Joanie Mitchell!! Eeee! Yay Olympics! (except for commercials and stunted coverage, but we can't have everything. Also, enough with describing that European ski jumper as a "Harry Potter lookalike". He doesn't look a thing like HP except he's got dark hair. By those lights, Tom bloody Cruise could be a HP lookalike. Oy!)
I also find it amusing that Virginia and Philly have more snow than Vancouver. Rain? Seriously? :-P I blame you, DJ! *g*
My new computer continues to be awesome and fast, but every once in a while I go to use something and realize I need to reinstall it. :-P I still don't like Word 2007, but I'm getting used to it.
Aaaaand, back to writing. Come on smut! Don't fail me now, brain!
