You're so welcome! Your ficlet was truly a gift from the remix gods! :-P I've been lucky with remix the past three years, but seriously - the second I started reading it, I knew right away what I wanted to do. And you had such wonderful lines in there that I didn't even feel guilty about 'stealing' them! Hee!

I really wanted to parallel the two of them, Harry and Sirius, despite the different circumstances. Even when I wrote my Teddy/Cedric fic, the relationship between Harry and Teddy was always an important part, of both the story and how I see Teddy. And also Harry - wanting to be for Teddy all the things he'd yearned for Sirius to be for him. (And if circumstances hadn't intervened, I truly believe Sirius would have been a remarkable godfather, not that he wasn't when he was able, but I think you know what I mean. *g*)

I was so happy that you liked it! I loved writing it, and your original story made it so easy!
