As I mentioned before, I went to see OotP last night, but not alone. Thanks to
nyc_hpslashers we had a nice little group consisting of me,
xingou,
paranoidsistah,
cathybites,
titti,
fiendling,
amelia_eve,
loony_moony,
shipchan and
bludrummergrl and her sis.
We went out for dinner first at Heartland Brewery, and then over to the line of doom, but it worked out well and we all got seats together (and traded tickets so we were all in the same theater, too!) - well, until xingou and amelia decided they wanted to sit closer up front and dissed us. :-P
I love seeing the HP movies with fellow fans - especially fellow fandom fans, because we're all thinking the same porny thoughts, and we all get the same jokes, and Snape dragging Harry by the hand to the dungeon and then telling him: "Prepare yourself"... well! I sat next to
titti, and she was totally killing me every single time Ginny was on the screen! *hee* Well, every time Ginny did something cool, at any rate. Damn Draco fans. Can't take 'em anywhere. :-P ♥ Ginny (Oh - titti! I reserved two books for you, and Rach, one for you, too! They start handing out bracelets at 6 p.m.!) Anyway, I'll spare you my recappy thoughts, mostly because pretty much everyone on my flist already has, and I'd just be repeating all of you.
I went food shopping after dropping my stuff off at the fed-ex box (made it in time! Whew!) and can I just say, I walked around the produce aisle for a good 15 minutes just because for the first time in a year and a half, I didn't have to bypass it completely! I bought grapes and melons and carrots and lettuce and yellow peppers and a cucumber and red onion, and I was so happy I nearly cried! And I bought kosher dill pickles! I would have bought more, but I know myself and it would have spoilt before I could eat it all, so a little moderation there. That, and they were out of cherries. Oh well. Right before I got on the checkout line, there was a huge crash of thunder, and as I got on line, the skies just opened up. I had to wait like 10 minutes for the rain to slow enough so I could go get my car. I got soaked. Good thing I had environmentally-unfriendly plastic bags. Hopefully that'll clear out some of the humidity!
I'm wearing my brand new Phoenix Rising shirt (thanks and ♥ ♥ to
ziasudra_fic) and I'm so psyched for Prophecy! Did I mention I'm going? Yay!
Okay, I'll shut up now.
