where you goin? NO WHERE!
Oh shit, its been a long time since I updated huh?
Well random stuff has been happening in my life… but keeping me busy none the less. A few weeks ago I had to go home for a doctors appointment… only to find out that I'm WAY too broken, and I have to have knee surgery again. The doctor was really nice about it too… he took one look at my knee… and said ok, here’s what I'm gonna do. (He even said this all before looking at my x-rays… what a doctor!). I'm going to make a scar from here to here (pointing to the middle of my current scar… and to 4 inches under it as well AKA creating an even bigger scar) and then go in, cut your bone… move it over a little… and then screw it back in. all I could think about was wow… I am going to slip and slide ALL over UMASS and screw up my knee more. But we’ll see how it goes… the surgery is set for December 28th… (so you can start sending flowers and cards after that date J ) and I have to spend the night there… how scary! So basically new years is out… which sucks… I mean look how much fun I had last year with my girls!
So I have something new keeping me busy here at grand old UMASS. I am in the Arab Club Fashion Show… which I'm totally excited about. Sara and I were asked by a friend of our to help out and do it… so we said why not? We get to wear traditional Arabic clothing AND our prom dresses… which is great, because honestly when else are you going to wear your prom dress? So if you go to UMASS… and your not doing anything October 22nd… come to the student union ballroom at around 9ish maybe? We’ll be there… and it will be fabulous!
Another UMASS event… as publicity coordinator/event organizer for OHAG… I along with others are setting up a date auction. Its cool because it rests basically completely on linds and i. We’ve made all the decisions… we have to do the whole set up… we have to find restaurants who want to donate shit… its kinda cool. A college version of what I want to do when I'm older, how interesting.
Anyways, that weekend was fun. Columbus day weekend almost everyone goes home. But I decided against it because I had already been hom twice in the past week.. so I decided staying here sounded like a better idea. Friday night I didn’t do much… bummed around the room because I wasn’t feeling well… so I watched family bonds with Christi… and then a movie and went to sleep by 11ish. I thought that was rather funny because it was so early… but I figured I was preparing for the weekend to come. And its good that I did that too… because Saturday was completely late night. My evening started off meeting up with some girls down in south west. After chilling for a little while and waiting for some people to get ready we all headed off to the hockey game. It was actually a good hockey game too… second one of the season, we won 6-4 so we were all pretty happy. We left just before the game as to avoid the crowd and headed back up to kennedy where we then played a few friendly games of kings… after a few hours, I decided it was about time to go home… so laura was nice enough to drive me up… only getting a call from D-Menace interrupted the drive… and I wound up over there. Lets just say I stayed up till 5 am after a night full of drinking… driveway football… beruit… and my best friends wedding. Needless to say I crashed there.
The next morning… I came back here… did a little laundry… some hard core chillaxin… and the afternoon slipped by. Then sara and I went out to dinner with the shriber of course to birtuccis to visit tersa. We even got seated in her section so it was all kinds of funny. We made a giant mess, and then took a sign holder… “I feel like an old jewish grandmother.” - Lauren. After dinner, we all wound up back at amity and we had a gloriously drunk night. It was nice to have a long weekend thrown into that mix, because I was definitely drunk that Sunday.
Monday of no classes was glorious… I totally slept in, then in the evening we had another rehersal for the fashion show… and then hit up the movies with dave mac. It was glorious. We went to see Friday night lights. And then I came back to find sara and waids watching a movie… and they were totally cute.
Last week was a bitch and a half… I had an OHAG meeting, moms birthday, a greek civ exam, a stats exam, a birthday dinner for brian and dan, a birthday dinner for tersa, etc. for dan/brian’s birthday we went to goten (a Japanese resturant) and it was awesome… I love when they cook infront of you. Then we went back to campus… down to kennedy for a little in our party clothes… and just as we were leaving, totally bumped into Allison and Kmac who said we had to go out with them… so sara and I got changed, and went to dan murray’s house… what an interesting night.
Saturday was a chill day… birthday dinner for tersa at chili’s with her girls… then fuckin lively arts event we had to go to at 8… so we had to go to that. We only stayed for about ½ hour… then it just started getting weird, so we booted it. The sox game was on, and we were tired… so we decided to just come back and watch it. We got back here… J-Mo came over… and then somehow we went to Amity. It was glorious… there weren’t many people here… but we all got SO fucked up and had such a glorious night it totally didn’t even matter that we lost. (that night that is). And then we totally crashed there.
This past week went by wicked fast! I think it was due to the red sox games… Sunday I went to the soccer house… got a little tipsy… a little crazy… but all in all had a not so bad night… I mean hey, we won game #5. Tuesday… game #6… and we totally won that one too… which meant… an intense game #7 Wednesday night. Yesterday I had class… then an econ exam… which I hope I totally dominated. But it didn’t really matter b/c when I got back… the game was about to start. I wound up over at mcmenamys house to watch the game… and we TOTALLY BEAT THE YANKEES! THE SOX ARE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!!! Last night was intense!
Today… class… then paper… then class… then rehersal… then antonios… then back at the dorms, and now I'm watching boondock saints. Its been WAY too long since the last time I saw this movie… and it is an amazing movie at that.
I can't wait for the rest of this weekend… the fashion show is tomorrow night… intense… and then on Saturday possibly amity for the game… who knows. Anywho, I'm goin to bed… goodnight all… sorry for the long ass entry!
