First Day: Act Two
I went down stairs to wake JC up to take me into town to go to work. I swear it takes him a lifetime to wake up and get to going. I wanted to leave at 8:30 so as to be there atleast 10 or 15 minutes earlier. Didn't happen. I was, however, 5 minutes early.
I went in, punched in, started cleaning. We basically did cleaning for the first few hours. They gave us a break to eat, which the food is actually really good. I like the seasoning they use. Clocked back in and cleaned up some more. People started arriving with their invitations. (Incase you weren't aware, today and tomorrow are our 'test runs' of the store. We gave out invitations to our friends and family and they came in and ate for free.) I was supposed to stand at teh door and greet and take the invitations, but instead I was on register so I could learn the machine. This is alot different from mere Taco Bell (Toxic Hell). After lunch period was over, we cleaned again.
In total, I very much enjoyed my first day of work. I have alot more respect for this job and hope to keep it for quite some time.
