I have not updated in a while because not much has happened, but this bears to be entered.
After buying the new MSI cd and burning a couple of mix cd's, I decided to take a cruise in my car and listen to me new tunes in my kicking car audio. Jake went along with me. We start riding around town then I decide to go out to the country where I used to live to show him some things from my past and all that blah blah. After we get so far out he decides to go out towards Woodbury to show me something. He proceeds to give me directions to this place. Once turning on to a road that I have never been down, we come across some sharp curves. When we came upon this one curve, a deer came running out across the road. I swerve to miss the deer, hit gravel and start sliding. I snatch the wheel in order to not hit the embackment that we are heading towards only to start us sliding and fish-tailing in the other direction into the steep ditch. We slide down the steep ditch towards many trees. Suddenly we are sliding sideways across the hill instead of downward and as I look over at Jake, I see a tree just a few yards away. We stop, luckily without the help of the tree, I hit the brakes, put it in park, then turn the ignition off. We were about 5 feet from the tree. We got out and made sure we were alright.
After looking over the situation we were in, Jake got back in the car and proceeded to try and make his way up and out of the ditch. This was a failed attempt many times. He tried this for about 30 minutes when a car came around the same curve. I stood on the side of the road flagging the car down. They drove right on by, hit there brakes after they passed, then kept on going. About 20 minutes later, the same car came back and two older gentlemen looked out and asked what happened. I explained to them our dilemma. I also told them I had a phone but had no service and asked if they had one or knew someone who had a truck that could help us out. They turned around and went back to the house to call the sheriff.
About 20 minutes later, one of the gentlemen returned. We stood around and talked about various things. The sheriff came by around 15 minutes after and then the state patrol 10 minutes after with the wrecker truck behind him 5 minutes. After the wrecker showed, the car was out of the ditch in less than 5 minutes.
After my car made it back to the road, I went up to inspect it in better lighting. Nothing major. A few scratches I saw, alot of dirt, and some pieces of tree and brush in various places. (Also, seeing as the windows were down, there was tons of dirt and tree in the car.) The officer went on telling me what I was up against. They have to write tickets now for all accidents. My misdemeanor, too fast for conditions. After he gave me all the information, he asked if we were going to drive and if we were alright. He said that the car seemed fine except right behind the passenger door. I hadn't seen anything so I made my way around to the other side of the car. I looked down behind the door and there it was. There is a dent in the car, not a big one, just a little dent.
So in conclusion, things are really good. For what just happened, and what could have happened, things are good. I am very grateful that Neither of us were hurt. I am also grateful that my car had no serious damage done to it. If anything, this will motivate me to vaccum out the inside finally, even though I just washed the car yesterday, it will need a bath again tomorrow. For now, I am going to sleep for work tomorrow.
BTW, Hello to all my LJ peoples. I hope to be online more often and hopefully on messenger to talk with a few of you. Hope all is well.
