ahhhh Download Festival was hellllllllllla awesome!!! Eve, Anja, and I went together and we met up with Sophie, Nikki, Audra, and Daisy, then eventually Larissa and Evan too. The first band that we actually watched was Mindless Self Indulgence. They were really good, they were hella high energy and entertaining haha. The singer was being hella obscene and it was hilarious. He kept making fun of the hot topic goth kids too haha but its funny cause he was kinda one...anyways they were very good...but I was too excited for who was next...
HIM! First we were peeking at Ville through the backstage fence hahaha then they went on and me, Daisy, and Audra went up as close as we could get. We just pushed up and it was sooooo great! We were like 5 rows of people back maybe. I was SO happy with their set. They played almost every single song that I love. They played Vampire Heart, Right Here In My Arms, Funeral of Hearts, Soul On Fire, the Sacrament, Under the Rose, Buried Alive By Love, Join Me In Death, Wicked Game, and Your Sweet Six Six Six. The only two songs I really wanted them to play that they didnt were Sigillum Diaboli and Razorblade Kiss, but thats okay cause it was amazing anyways and Ville Valo is the sexiest man ever. Daisy and I were smiling at Ville and singing, and he looked us right in the eyes like 3 times and smiled back. and we were freaking out like "was he really looking at us?" so we decided to test it and we smiled and gave a little wave, and he looked RIGHT at us, did the chin up thing and chuckled and smiled I SHIT YOU NOT, Ville Valo acknowledged us!!!! ahhhh we were so freakin excited. They played an awesome set, I was more than happy.
After that we went into the techno tent thing and layed on the beanbags for a while then the techno overtook Daisy and I and we had to dance dance dance. After dancing for a good half hour, we walked around, then found Lars and Evan, danced on the myspace stage for a while, found a guy to buy us some beer, then Evan went and got a wristband with his fake ID and we got hella beer and Smirnoff and it was awesome. We got juuust a little crunk haha. Not too much though, I'd never want to be drunk at a show but I was deffinately feeling it. Me, Lars, and Daisy went nuts, the combination of alcohol and music was just too great and we were running around dancing and jumping and making other people dance with us...like our new friend James St. James. I was like "I dub you...James St. James!!!" "uhhh...who?" "don't worry, its good!!!" haha then the 3 of us had to pee but we didn't wanna actually walk down to the bathrooms, so we found a dark spot on the lawn (yes in front of thousands of people), pulled down our pants and just peed. But then I got scared and some guy stood right next to us so we ran to the porta-potties mid-pee, and it was so nasty in there and we were hella crunk so they were like "pee all over the porta potty!" so I did and I came out and I told them and some guy was like "you fucking sluts!!!" and we were like "fuck you, we're peeing everywhere and you aren't!" ahahahahah we're the reason that people hate drunk people.
so we sobered up for the most part by the time Modest Mouse were over, who by the way were hella good, they played Black Cadillacs which is my fav. song of theirs. then after them was the Killers...I'm not a huge Killers fan but it was really fun seeing them. I went down to the front of the lawn with Audra, Daisy, Larissa, and James...well he was down there we just refound him. The Killers, I must admit, were very good. the singer is a cutie. I had alot of fun dancing to them and singing the songs of theirs that I do know, which is like 5 songs but thats okay cause as James told me, they only have 13 songs anyways haha. After the show we all walked out together and then on the way home Eve, Anja and I stopped at Jack in the Box and laughed endlessly about $3 eggrolls and a smiling sketch of a serial rapist...which neither are funny but we were so fuckin slap happy that it was the funniest thing in the world. I had soooo much fun yesterday.
