Well after spending the early morning hours of Tuesday squeezing every legible phrase out of my mush-filled brain and only receiving maybe four hours of sleep, I shuffled into my English class to tern in the paper which was a complete thorn in my side literally until I left for class. I knew walking there that this paper was not up to my usual literary par, for which I felt deservedly guilty for my procrastion on the assignment. My only hope was that my teacher would be leniant and recognize the clever puns and analogies thrown in the mix of a somewhat sloppy essay. Well in a way my prayers were answered when my teacher announced he had forgotten our papers were due today. My initial reaction was unrequited anger for his indiscretion, yet that gave quickly to relief of the extension which would allow me to fully develop my paper and revitalize it into one I could be proud of.
After returning from class, I took a quick and much needed nap. Hopefully tonight will prove to be a catalyst in my recent bout of insomnia. For some strange and unknown reason, I have been unable to sleep when I am at school. During the day, I am able to take a nap for a few hours. Yet at night, I lie in bed attempting every trick in the book to doze off. Tonight, with much hope and anticipation, my exhaustion will thwart the insomnia and maybe, just maybe, I will be able to sleep.
I also went out this evening for a rain-date evening with Amanda. We attempted to go out last Wednesday, yet communication was a negative. Then again on Monday, she found out at last minute she had to work. So tonight we went out to eat at Olive Garden and saw Van Wilder. My meal was excellent. I had the tortilloni, which was supurb...and our waiter even gave us a slice of vanilla-strawberry cake on the house (for no apparent reason). Needless to say, his tip was much better than average. I also highly enjoyed Van Wilder. Ryan Reynolds is a talented comedian....and so cute!
Well...time for bed...hopefully! Wish me luck!
