Well peeople, I come to bring exciting news to the fellow nerds. There's a new type of internet moving in and it is called The Grid :O It's only being used by some sort of research company and it's supposed to be switched on this summer.
What makes this awesome? It's effing fast.
It runs connections of anywhere near 10gb-40gb per second. GIGABYTES PEOPLE! GIGABYTES! D:
You can download complete movies in seconds. Imagine what that will do for the MMORPGs? Faster data transfer! The possibilities are huge.
You know how people go "Eww, dial-up" right now? Well, next year, maybe, people will be going "Eww, cable?" or whatever type of internet most people use now.
