Life imitating art...

Jul 08, 2009 12:13

I am unwilling/unable to talk about my life right now. I am trying the approach that if I can't say anything good, I will say nothing at all. So, with that in mind, I bring you pictures from my life instead.

Here we go... )

garden, food, photo posts

Thank you. The pesto was very good. I may never buy store bought again.

At least your "proof of life" pictures are pretty! :-) We'll be here when and if you are ready to talk. Heck, we'll still be here even if that never happens. Muchos hugs in the meantime.

Thank you for the hugs, sweet girl. You know I love you , right?

I just get tired of the whole thing (life throwing me curve balls) sometimes. And I get even more frustrated when it seems I have only dismal life reports. So, I'd rather not.

Thanks, Holly. I love you too. It's not nearly as bad as it seems, I am just emotional about it all, and mainly just disappointed in myself - still.

At least I can still post some halfway decent pictures now and then. Better than falling off the face of the earth into the abyss.

Thanks, sweet girl. I appreciate all the kind thoughts and hugs.

I love the baby pictures! Can't you just see the attitude Kirk has on the last picture as he is getting ready to fly off?

Your tomatoes are farther along than mine, but my basil is bigger! :)

REALLY? Your basil is bigger? I thought my basil was looking pretty darn good. WOW.

Basil must like hotter weather. It's not a *lot* bigger, but it's at least 6 inches higher and correspondingly wider. I'm also growing Thai basil which looks nothing like regular basil, but tastes similar. I struggled for about a month but it's catching up to the other plant now.

Wow. I'm impressed with your basil. We've had some pretty hot days here the last few weeks-up in the mid 90's. I have been unsuccessful until this year at my attempts to grow basil. I didn't realize how much fertilizer it requires. I am adding fertilizer every two weeks, and they are responding beautifully. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Also, this year I planted them in portable pots so I can bring them indoors this winter. Basil doesn't winter over well here. I've previously made the mistake of trying to leave mine outside for the winter. Not such a good idea in this climate.
