Tofu is rather bland, and has no real flavor of it's own. This makes it exceptionally adaptable to any type of food "flavor" you may have in mind. To adjust that, it's best to marinate it with whatever flavor you desire. Tofu also comes in different textures. I prefer the extra firm when I plan to add it to another dish and eat it whole, rather than mixing it in as a substitute for something else.I cut up 2 blocks of tofu and placed them into a plastic container. I then added some Bragg's Amino Acids (has a taste similar to soy sauce, but with less sodium) sesame oil, hot red spicy sauce, red pepper flakes, granulated garlic. Put the lid on the plastic container, and shale around, being careful not to splatter your entire kitchen in the process. Then refrigerate and allow to marinate overnight. I will occasionally turn the container over several times, and shake as well to thoroughly mix ( ... )
