One way to guarantee that it will continue to rain, maybe even harder than previously for the past day and a half...is to go outside and begin raking the front yard of leaves. This is what the front yard looked like this morning:





It had momentarily stopped raining for about 30 minutes. So, I decided to take advantage of the situation and go rake the front yard. Fifteen minutes into it, it began to rain all over again. Harder. Not the soft drizzle that's been going on for the past day and a half. No, it decides that it hasn't rained nearly enough. We need more.

What did I do? Well, call me crazy, but wet leaves are much easier to rake up than dry ones. So I stayed, and finished the job. I just need to bag them up. Unfortunately, my composter is full.

I think it's about time for a hot shower and that bowl of noodles and marinated tofu now.
