the bugs of summer
Tonight I came home to a tiny 'Shock and Awe'. Somehow, ants have declared an all out undeclared assault on the kitchen.
I don't know where these guys came from or even what they were doing there. For starters, I hate bugs, but hadn't even seen a single ant on the entire apartment complex grounds. I mean, it's got it's share of roaches (grrrrrrrrr!) and snails, but almost no ants. Then I get home tonight, and find a trail of ants all over the sink. And the craziest part was that they weren't even going anywhere!!! I had 4 dishes in the sink... not exaclty much to eat. And this ant trail was all over the place. But they weren't even going anywhere or collecting anything. It was the most organized chaos I have seen in a while.
So I quickly took control of the situation. I washed all the dishes and wiped out the trails. I added some windex just to make sure.... not that I could find an entry or exit... just like this circular loop. Hopefully this will be the first and last encounter. If there's one thing I really don't need, it's an Ant Occupation.
Can't you guys wait another 50 years when we're all gone? Bugger off all you bugs and birds. Spiders and bats, you guys are alright. Except that one spider that ran across my bed the other night and freaked me out... except I can't really tell him to get lost since I mashed him.
