in the thick of things
midterms this week. I'm totally kicking ass. I think. what I thought was going to be really tough turned out to be just another thing taken in stride. Now I just gotta start getting ready for finals. Only a few weeks away.
Well, it looks like I'll be spending another month on the sexy blue couch. We were both pretty busy and couldn't find any other place. Still keeping our fingers crossed that a two-bedroom will open up in this apartment complex. Also hoping that it happens before Ruben leaves to go on tour this summer. I don't really feel like moving everything by my lonesome, but I would do it anyway. There's really not that much stuff and all my crap is still in boxes and ready to go.
It's wild to to think that I only have two more quarters left. I'm very excited, but it's odd only having like 8 classes to pick from. Pretty much everything I'm working on right now is going to be going into my demo reel. No pressure.
I believe I'll set up my computer this weekend. Ruben is out of town, up in the bay area (LUCKY!). I'm gonna look around for a new job. I got a raise last week, but I'm still not making anything close to the kind of work I'm doing. And it's crazy that in order to give me such a "large" raise, my manager had to get it cleared with HQ. A $.50 raise. There, I said it. I'm still making less than $10/hour. And putting up with the inconsistency of the other supervisors. It's got me a little steamed. I try not to think about it too much. I spend most of my time just focusing on school work. It makes me happy.
Happy early mothers day. I've got a few phone calls to make myself on sunday. Sarai's Spine is playing tonight in LA and they're spending the night at my place. Good thing Ruben's out of town, we can use all the space we got. I'm looking forward to hanging out with the Forbes folks.
