URGENT REMINDER : Saturday, January 22nd is Roe v. Wade Day !!
All of us at Planned Parenthood of Collier County are counting on you to come out this
Saturday to defend women’s reproductive rights !! As I mentioned in my last email, we
anticipate hundreds of protesters from Ave Maria University and other anti-choice organizations
on Saturday, and we need to send them (as well as the media) a loud and clear message
that the pro-choice movement in Collier County is ready to stand up to them and to stand up
for choice.
Remember, this is not just about defending a woman’s constitutional right to abortion;
this is about protecting our freedom and privacy, and about resisting the proliferation of
religious extremism in Collier County.
Here's the Agenda for Roe v. Wade Day:
Date: Saturday, January 22, 2005
Place: 1425 Creech Rd, Naples (off Goodlette-Frank Rd, north of Golden Gate Pkwy)
Time:
8:30 a.m. Pro-choice counter protest begins.
11:00 a.m. Pro-choice/abortion rights Speak Out begins.
12:00 p.m. Free pizza lunch for our supporters and continuing counter-protest.
Parking Tip: Please try to carpool if you can as parking will be tight. A volunteer will
direct you to parking options when you arrive at our site.
