So, I went to the dentist yesterday for the first time in more than six years. I have six cavities (one for each year!), and my wisdom teeth need to be taken out. Yep. The next couple weeks are going to be fun.
I've been refreshing my e-mail constantly for the past week or so, because I'm supposed to be receiving 1) a rejection letter and 2) my grades, both any day now. I should also be getting a rejection from LCRW in the mail. Though according to Duotrope, there are six users with pending responses from them, with an average wait of 149 days (I mailed mine about 130 days ago). The magazine's average response is 50 days and their estimated response less than 90 days. It would seem that something is very wrong in the land of LCRW. *sigh*
Still no snow in the land sometimes referred to as "Minnesnowta," whereas most of the rest of the country seems to have gotten a giant pile. I find myself strangely jealous. I didn't think I liked snow. It's hell to shovel and drive in and walk in, but damn, it's pretty.
I need to stop being lazy. But laziness is addicting. Have you noticed this phenomenon? When I first got home, I'd be thinking, "God, I'm bored. What's something productive that I can do?" about two hours after I woke up. Now, I can hardly be bothered to reply to e-mails and LJ comments and Facebook messages and whatnot. Grah.
