Hey all,
I 'll cut to the chase on why this post is entitled "Kinda Bummed". I got a letter today saying that, while WVU greatly appreciates my interest in working as an RA, they are unable to offer me an RA appointment for Fall of 2007.
So... What's this mean in real terms? My next course of action is to try to secure a place to live for next year and to try to secure a job as a TA for Spanish 101. The tuition waiver would help greatly, and it'd give me a chance to work as a professor/teacher/TA. If I can't secure the position as a TA, I'll need to find a "real" job. I could work at Eat'n Park again or work at a similar establishment... Or Kroger or smth.. Idk.
But the point remains that I need to find somewhere to live now. -_-" Fun times...
Well, in the event that I don't get a position as a TA, I won't be any worse off than I am this semester. That's encouraging. And I'll be able to dedicate more of my time to friends, homework, and DLP (not necessarily in that order). Maybe this is saying that I'd be miserable as an RA again, after spending a year free from midnight curfews...
I don't know. At any rate, this is something new that I'm going to grow and change to meet the challenge.
Blessed be, y'all.
