Alright let's see---
*My classes at SMS are good for the most part--I'm back to enjoying teaching them again, although there are things that I could do without
A. My first period class--they're a fun group, but i've heard they are holy terrors in the afternoon (thankfully I have them first period)
B. Second Period = developed their eighth grade attitude early--are beyond argumentative, still smart and does work but just obnoxious
C. Third Period = it's fun to talk all in Spanish with them -- no attitude yet
D. Sixth Period = too small of a class (only 13 in there) ... as a result, they just don't get into things as much
E. Seventh Period = they're much more mild now...we had a few long talks, and a few lack of fun things, and they're suprisingly doing better
F. Eighth Period = a mixture of early-attitude and immatureness -- the early attitude is because they've been hanging around some of my second perioders, yet still fun.
We all still miss a lot of our kids from last year--we had really good kids this year, so I think the kids get the short end of the stick automatically simply because our expectations might be too high so to speak? This is apparantly part of the 3rd Year Blues.
We as a staff are getting along really well right now: data analysis is so much fun -- especially when you're #1 :).
Other than that things at school are busy-busy.

Ph.D. program is going crazy mad -- I found out I'll be done next Spring with coursework. Then Comps and writing -- yikes. I love my doc buddies though--even though they're like 30 years older than me ... it's fun to work with them. If it weren't for them, I would have quit like four weeks ago. I do need to fix that advisor issue.

Finally, this summer I'll be crazy busy: two weeks of camp; I'm teaching/co-teaching two classes at KSU (master's level, exciting :)). And I'm taking at least two classes + 1 independent study. Yikes!
