I hope he continues to be for me and I hope he continues to pray for me, because I’m going to continue to pray for him and all these young men and women that serve our country. I close on, I close on this. We are… It’s so easy when these things happen to get mad and angry, and I hope that all of you who are here, all of you who watched all of this stuff, who read all this stuff and saw all this stuff, don’t be angry about it. I’m reminded of what my favorite piece of scripture was quoted throughout this campaign. It’s the start of the second chapter of the book that we brought on the campaign trail. It’s the book of Ephesians, the sixth chapter, it’s the twelfth verse. For it says:
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers. And although we didn’t get enough votes tonight, that scripture holds just as true now as it did when we said it yesterday. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. And Lord, I thank you for guiding and leading me, and I just ask you continue to touch me, guide me, instruct me, and everybody here.
