Can't See the Fields for the Forrest

This weekend, among other things, a lot of bad war things happened. This was originally going to be about the Israeli (excus me, ALLEGED Israeli) battleship (because, as we all know, the Syrian and Lebanese Navies are massive with flotillas of battleships and destroyers) allegedly shelling alleged people (Ms. Meir herself said there were no Palestinians, therefore, alleged people. And we can all kill alleged people.) on an alleged piece of land. I could waste 500 words on it, but my thoughts on that are simple: You're both getting too stupid to survive. You will kill each other and the world will turn no slower. Luckily for us, there are even dumber people in the world, so I'll deal with them first.

One of my favorite groups decided this would be a peachy time to hold a demonstration at Antietam battlefield. Yes, the KKK, along with some Nazis, decided to hold a rally of all of 30 people to commemorate that the Civil War was about state's rights issues, an industrialized North taking advantage of an agrarian South and the illegal expansion of the powers of the Executive Branch in violation of Article I of the Constitution. No, wait, they were railing against blacks and immigrants. Granted, there were 200 police authorities and plenty of counter-protesters. But, the Nazis and the KKK decided to hold a rally. It is somehow fitting that these two groups are combining forces considering they have both been at war with America and both have been fought by the Ranter family.

The Ku Klux Klan was partially founded by Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest as a response to getting his ass kicked by the North and having to accept niggers as real people. Go to the link, look for the quote, "We can use [the Klan] to keep niggers in their place." So, he's pissed, he becomes the first Grand Wizard, and decides to use the image of dead Confederate soldiers to scare niggers and carpetbaggers from living in his beloved South. And, well, Nazis are fucking nazis. I don't care if they call themselves the National Socialist Movement of America, they're still fucking Nazis. They fought the US, they lost, and now they're trying to do it again, only by politics. Would that my grandfather, CaptainRanter, and my great-great-great-grandfather SergeantRanter (who oddly shared my name) who fought at Antietam the first time with the 4th Regiment (Infantry) could have been there to kill their enemies again.

As much as I wish that, I understand that we need to let these Maic do raicleachai (it's Irish, I use it when I'm mad. It's a better angry language that this Anglo-saxon tongue) speak, but that doesn't mean we have to like it. That doesn't mean we should engage them in dialogue. We just have to let them speak. So they speak and often get shouted down. It's nice to see, really. Although to get to an earlier point, one of the groups protesting was a group called "Semites on Bikes", affectionately known as the SOBs. Of course, my question is do they include all Semites (which would include Arabs) or do they limit to Jews only?

And more importantly, if they are exclusive, does it then become irony that they protest Nazis and other racists?

So it is written, so do I see it.

nazis, prejudice, stupidity, slavery, anger, self-righteous
