Date Number 5
So, I had another date with Scott! It was fun. He feels really bad because I always drive up there, but he works until 7 and I haven't had to work, although that will change soon (I'll explain below). Anyway, I picked him up at his house (The first thing I noticed was that he smelled really good, not that he doesn't usually smell good, but I think he used a different aftershave or cologne or something), we went for pizza and then to see Bedtime Stories. Which was good (cute, funny, wholesome).
On my way home from my date, I stopped by Meijer to check my work schedule for the week. My coworker/friend, Nicki, was working (we feel like Meijer is conspiring against us working together - this was the first time we'd seen each other since before Christmas!), and she informed me that she discovered that Meijer will be hiring 33 new Team Leaders (aka Managers) in the next year, she is applying and suggested that I also put in my application. I definetly will. Last time I worked at Meijer, I was a Trainer within three months of working there (and that was my first retail job ever!), and they were grooming me for managemnet when I left to work at Borders (my managers at the time tried to get me promoted or at least the same pay and benefits Borders was offering - but at the time Corporate said no). Meijer isn't what I want to do for the rest of my life, but it's good for now and management pays better and gets more hours. I'm good with people and I like having power. ;o) My mom pointed out that I could never make it on time to work at the Child Care, but that I haven't been late to Meijer - she thinks subconciusly I like it better. That's a Psych major for ya. ;o)
