Snow in my pants

Wow! What a lot of snow! My sister's 6am flight was canceled, but she got a flight for noon, she and my mom were leaving at almost 8am this morning and I said "Oh, I wanted to go with!" My mom had thought I had to work and didn't want me to have to be late or miss work if her flight was delayed, I threw on a sweatshirt and my shoes and then spent all morning at the Bishop Airport. The drive to Flint wasn't too bad, but if we hadn't left so early I'm sure 23 had been shut down or something. Her flight was "On Time" when we got there and ended up only slightly delayed! She was in the air by 1:15pm! The drive back to Brighton was crazy (although I dozed for most of it - my mom kept waking me up to point out accidents - we are sick that way).  I never did get dressed...but I shoveled the walk and dug my car out. Thankfully our neighbors snowblew (yes, I made up that word) the road! However my car was so completely covered in snow that I couldn't find the door! I actually used a push broom to partially clean it off! (I wish I'd had batteries in my camera so I could have taken before and after shots!). I ended up standing in a pile of snow almost up to my waist (keep in mind I am 5'9.5" tall) to finish pushing the snow off! I was wearing snowpants (the pull on kind not the bib kind) and my coat, but I can't kind my boots and was wearing sneakers, when I was almost done, my foot slid on some snow and suddenly I was sitting in the snowplow induced snowbank! When I tried to stand up I slid some more and slid into the ditch, causing my snowpants (slightly too big snowpants - I have lost some weight since I bought them) to scoop up snow. I had snow in my snowpants. My dad was using the neighbor's snowblower to blow some snow out of our driveway and luckily was there to help me stand up. After moving my car so they could finish snowblowing the road, i went into the house, pulled off my snow filled snowpants and sat over the heating vent until I was dry. At which point I did some dishes. And that is my Adventurous Snowy Friday!
