I will be 26 in approx 22 hours
When my mom was as old as I am, I was almost a year old. I'm not sure if I am glad that I'm not married with a kid yet, or if I am sad because I'm not married with a kid yet.
I am really sick of being a 3rd wheel when I hang out with people. Half my friends are married/have been living with the same person for several years and the other half are always paired off with someone. I think I have a total of 6 single friends, and most of those are Ironwolf I only get to see a few times a year. This mini-rant has stemmed from two weekends in a row hanging out with the same friends who have paired off halfway through the night leaving me bored and alone by the campfire/sitting at the table shuffling a euchre deck while they "step out to have a smoke" and never come back.
My Birthday Wishlist consists of: an iPod, Great Big Sea's new cd, the 'P.S., I Love You' soundtrack, witty/snarky/awesome/geeky t-shirts (examples: threadless, thinkgeek, or J!NX) to replace all my awesome shirts that are threadbare, Gas Cards, Boondock Saints Unrated SE, Knocked Up, Children and Games in the Middle Ages by Lynne Elliot (ISBN: 0778713814), board games, Ca$h, peapod stuff
Honestly, I'd also take some Blind dates.
