It's been a loooong time since I posted....
It will probably be quite awhile before I post again.
I have been BUSY! I think the last time I posted anything was right after
mooinabox got married!
Balloonfest (the end of June) went really great. I ran children's activities all day Saturday, and Sunday I spent helping Sir Osric run tourneys (I kept track of who was next and who won which bout). Lorcann and Octavio were both present and I hung out with both of them most of the rest of Sunday!
July I mostly spent preparing for Pennsic, my mom made me some new garb, I was saving money like crazy. Unfortunatly, I got a ticket for "loud exhaust" and since he pulled me over for that, he added "broken windshield" so I had to fix both. The exhaust problem turned out to be a broken manifold AND the pipe leading to the catalytic converter was cracked in 2 places - very expensive! The windshield was "cheap" only $179.00. I went to Auto1 in Howell - they were awesome - the cheapest in town (I called everyone in Howell or Brighton who does car windshields) AND the most friendly (and the guy who put my windshield in was quite attractive *wink*). All of that was the week before I left for Pennsic. In fact I went to court to prove that I'd fixed them the morning before we left!
Pennsic was awesome! I learned my limit for alcoholic beverages (I had a 2-day holdover/hangover), got to see people I miss dreadfully, shot some archery, chaperoned teenagers, ran children's activities, defended a castle with water guns, and actually lost some weight!
Today was great, I hung out with Miranda and Justin all day, we went to 7-11 (Slurpees!), the Howell Library (checked out some cds for cruisin' tunes), Wal-mart (played in the toy dept for awhile), played on the playground at Latson Elementary school (where both Miranda and I went), Lunch/dinner at the Chinese restaurant in Brookside Mall, Justin's house to sit in the Jacuzzi, drove through Hartland, and ended our day at my house to eat some Roast Beef (that my family ate for dinner).
Tomorrow, I'm going to the movies with Octavio. We're going to see 'Pineapple Express'. It's a date, but it's not a date.
October 11 is 'ITMC2RAV' (www.scakids.org). I'm planning activities, trying to get activity sponsors, prizes, etc. And dealing with all the crazy (mostly word-of-mouth) publicity this event is getting. We have people coming from other Kingdoms! AND our current King and Queen, who will be Count & Countess (no longer K&Q), may be coming!
Oh, did I mention! My baby sister got engaged! She and her fiance will be getting married 7-18-09.
