So, I went to Euchre night on Friday. My sister and her fiance came for a little while, but, after they left I was the youngest person there, and the only person under 50. I had a ball! I partnered several people and won half the games I played. I love how older ladies L-O-V-E (LOVE!) their Christmas music. They are so excited by 100.3 WNIC and it's all Christmas Music-All the time thing they do (It started November 1).
The rest of the weekend was pretty typical.
Today, I am exhausted - in a good way. One of my co-workers (a lead teacher) is on vacation this week. So, I've been going in earlier and staying later than I usually do. Add to that, a new kid started yesterday, and a set of twins (our 3 set in Preschool and the 5th set for the center) started this morning. It rained last night and this morning, which meant that we couldn't go outside this morning, so I spent 45 minutes playing "Follow Miss Sarah". Which consisted of me (not a runner) running around the gym with 20 preschoolers behind me, pausing to sing 'Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes", spinning (with arms out), running around the gym again, sitting on the floor and stretching (mostly because Miss Sarah got a cramp in her knee), making 'snow' angels (since we were down there anyway, running around the gym again, crawling on our hands and knees, galloping, 'running' on our knees, being 'dead' bugs and running some more. Did I mention that was all done while I was holding up my too big blue jeans (I forgot a belt) and a really warm sweater!
Have you heard about the ten-year old kid who got suspended for asking his teacher for a hug and wishing her a good weekend?:
