south padre 'summary'
sry 4 the following LENGTHY entry, but it describes my trip to south padre in DETAIL......
first of all, since we went w/ 5 other families, i am goin' to briefly list and describe them (21 ppz, i think, including us)
1. mom: huijuan (shortname in entry= hj) dad: luoning (LN) kid: john, age7
2. mom: liqun(LQ) dad: xiaxiaodong (XXD) kids: leo-8 and read-5(both guys)
3. mom: xuhong (XH) dad: tangyu (TY) kids: jerry-9 and david-4 or 5
4. mom: wangqinghua (WQH) dad: dunno name, lets call him bob ..............kid: matthew-6
5. wife: geli (GL) husband: jianghui(JH) [no kids]
6. mi padres, my bro dillon, my sis dian, and ME!!!
day1: i woke @ 5:30, helped pack, set off w/ walkie talkies w/ family#1 cuz family#2 wasnt ready, and family#4 and #5 are going together, while #3 is going alone, we all were supposed to meet up there, on the camping ground........we randomly bumped to each other on the road, us eating lunch w/ family#1 and #3, while us and #1 stayed together. #4 and #5 got stranded from each other in the very beginning, and #2 desperately tried to find us, until LQ got mad ..........................took us a while to find the camping registation office, and when we did, we found out that there's 5 RV parking places w/ electricity, or we can take the non-electricity places...took a LONG time (1hr) to figure out to take electricity, 2 families sharing each plot of land....we found out our tent was a piece of s*** while we were setting tents up, and it was SO hot there... and THEN the FUN part: after a dinner @ the famous Sea Ranch restraurant, we went on a dolphin watch 'cruise'... but first while we waited for my mom to finish her meal we saw HUGE tuna fishies cuaght and thrown onto the dock.....then for the cruise i fed my sis a sea-sickness pill, and she couldnt swallow it so she threw up ....ironic cuz the pill was supposed to stop u from throwing up....the cruise took such a long time, but the ending fireworks was cool tho...
day2: since it was so stifling w/ the waterproof cover on top of the tent, we left it off, so during the night a brief sprinkling made my parents get up and put the cover on, only to have the rain stop shortly....:(......mom, dillon, and i got up in the morning to walk along the beach, came back to eat, and then rented a few umbrellas + bringing a canopy-thingy along the beach.....FUNNY sideline: while on the beach, JH said: "there's not even a single skinny person on the beach, much less hot chicks" [in chinese]...sorta true tho it was crowded w/ FAT ppl, and here i am, refusing to go into the water cuz i didnt want ppl to see me in a bikini cuz i'm chubby.......................went to chinese restraurant to eat, family4 refused to come, while family1 & 2 went to mexico (10 miles from padre isles) came back, and then something FREAKY happened: JH came up and said, "our little diya is growing prettier everyday, heh?" i wuz like, " um......yeah right" JH: "u should be a model" me: "me????? a model???as if i can..."......after that he kept STARING at me, as if he was checking me out...and 30-yr-old dude, whom i thought of as the same generation as my parents!!!!!!!!!GROSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! after that we went back to camp site to have dinner, when we heard the forecast for a T-STORM!!!! omg did we scramble to pack up everything to go to ramada inn 35 miles from there, and there was conflict::::::: XXD found out there were only 2 2-bed rooms, and being selfish, he auomatically took one of them, then he found out TY's family were allowed to have an extra bed moved into the 1-bed-rm for the original price, and he now wants to switch....HOW dARE HE??? TY pretends he didnt hear anything
day3: breakfast, family#3 goes home, family#4 goes to the aquarium, the rest of the 4 families goes to the corpus christi beach. we picnic-ed there, and we buried XXD in the sand, creating a sand sculpture in 'bikinis', [fake boobs-my creation], and sandals, perhaps i can post the pic later..............tense clash btwn JH and XXD again (dunno wut happened the 1st time): over restraurants..every1 wanted to go eat together @ a buffet except XXD, and JH sneeringly said now he sees whos the 'boss' of the party.................after LQ intervened, we went the buffet, while leo, whos on a 'diet' downed 1.5 plates of fried food and 2 cups of ice cream [he's not fat at all, but apparantly he was afraid of fatness].............after dinner XXD made it apparant he didnt want to see JH again by asking he for his walkie talkie (we all had that on our car for communications), JH ignored him and drived off, and the 3 families remaining started home......then HJ (not the same as JH) fought w/ husband LN, and when we reached gas station, she drove off w/o him, and he had to hitch a ride home w/ XXD's family....how embarrassing.....we lost sight of family2's car, and we drove home ALONE
