Finished “Jennyripper,” which means I’ve written two entire novels (“Sin Gorge” was the first) in about a five-week period, and have 14k or so written on the third novel, “The Twilight Girl.” I sent the first chapters of “Sin Gorge” to Angry Robot Books during their March open-submissions period, as well as to some other prospective agencies/publishers.  We’ll see what happens.

Working now on designing a new T-shirt look for Ralph Mathieu over at Alternate Reality Comics.  There are some plans in place to later this year do a cool mini-comic as both store promotion and origin story for the shop mascot, Epstein the Ska Lizard.

Right now, just kind of tired in certain ways.  I’ve been burning up on the work, and apparently lost a lot of other things doing it.  Trying to find some job other than the one I’m currently in, and that’s looking rather tough as things go.  About all I have right now going for me is the work, and at least when I sit down and go to write something, I don’t have to worry what my characters think of me, or if I’m paying them enough attention, or too much attention, or the wrong kind of attention, or only listening to them speak while waiting my turn to do so, or not listening or listening too much, etc.

Anyways…I’m also rewriting “A City Made of Saturdays” as a John Flicker novel, either the fourth or something out of the series continuity the other books are following.  I have notes made on the general plotting of even two more novels, “Unmistakable” and “The Corpse Candle Chronicles.” If I don’t sell any of these to anyone for publishing, they may become the longest-running series nobody has seen. Take that, van Gogh.

For those of you in the central Ohio area looking for amusement, I have entered the Columbus Funny Bone Talent Search, also sometimes referred to as the Columbus’ Funniest contest.  My slot will be Tuesday, April 12th.  I will be competing with other local comics to see if I move on to the next tier of competition and from there for as long as I can make it.  If you’re interested in seeing me perform, I welcome any and all comers to the show.  Not only will you get to see me perform, but there are a number of really talented and hilarious local comedians who will also entertain you and make it worth your five bucks’ admission.

Also, as  last note: it’s finally safe to make Hiroshima jokes.  Stay tuned.
