ice storm
The boy is happy. It started sleeting around 4am and turned into a significant ice storm by 6am, the deadline for deciding if schools are open. Everything in the area including the colleges are closed for at least the morning (they even closed Delta, Crystal -- you know that never happens). Most schools were in the middle of exam week and were only scheduled for a partial day anyway, so they just closed entirely. Patrick missed his Math and Computer Apps exams ("Well I wouldn't say he missed them, Bob...").
The roads were definitely crap when I took Teresa to work. She can look forward to a slow day.
