I am an idiot

I was sitting happily at my desk yesterday morning, drinking a cup of coffee, until suddenly my wrist does a mysterious spasm and I spill hot coffee everywhere- on my knee, on my desk, on my laptop... and now the space bar on my laptop doesn't work. Does anyone know how I can make it work again?

(sorry to spam you with stupid questions. A look at Google hasn't solved anything and there is a queue waiting to use the computers, argh)
