At the risk of sounding ignorant, was it Van Gogh's birthday today? Or did they randomly just decide to make their logo in his style?

*is clarified* Thankee.

how writers feel when they're reading something and are afraid of that person's style rubbing off on them. And then they go read the encyclopedia before they start working

It's very effective, you know. Interim-encyclopedia-reading, that is. Sometimes it jump-starts plots. :D

Hee. You read Tamora Pierce? I'm not alone in my guilty addiction! Have you read the Protector of the Small series? Because, really, Neal is amazing.

Kafka! I'm very impressed. Sometimes, songs and books remind me of Jess. It's getting a little ridiculous.

By the way, I was at bookstores yesterday, and I wanted to pick up Cat's Cradle (because that's the only book I could remember you recommending to me, as I was intelligent enough to leave my list at home) and they had all of Vonnegut's other work, but not that. I did buy Leaves of Grass though. I should send you some poems ;)

Is TST an odd acronym for Requiem? If so, I strongly urge you to 'beat the block'.

Hee!

I love Protector of the Small. Although, the Lioness series was my favorite, I think.

Cadenza: I know what you mean about POGG! Ah, it's the ultimate homework distraction. Seriously. Because it seems like it reads fast, and all of a sudden it's two hours later and it isn't finished... Ali is amaaaaazing.

Tons of stuff reminds me of Jess lately. Mostly songs. Some books. Not Kafka yet, but wow. ;)

And *sends TST inspiration*

Good luck with all the yucky (and non-yucky but time-taking :P) school stuff!
