(no subject)
So, I don't post very often. It's cool.
I'm still unemployed, but applying for about three jobs a day (six every other day, basically). Will succeed, one day. Thank god for savings, otherwise I'd have no way to do anything.
Some points:
-Finally found a good modern video game that isn't indie (I have scads of indie games, but that is reserved for point #something). SMT: Devil Summoner is maybe the best DS game I've ever played. Like Final Fantasy Tactics mixed with Ogre Battles (turn based group battles). Great atmosphere to it, too. It's really what I'd wanted from The World Ends With You (which it, pretty obviously, steals from. Though TWEWY generously stole from older SMT entries, so it's a wash): there's a really close sense of paranoia, especially given all the choices you can make (even if they may or may not have a real effect, there are so many, and you can talk yourself into thinking they have an effect), and you feel like the world is ending, which is good!
-There are too many records coming out this year. Already, halfway through the year, I have more 5 star records than I had last year. And the other half of my favorite bands still have to release records what the fuck?
-I'm trying to write, but...I'm bad about doing it. I want to write a novel, but nothing is crystalyzing perfectly for me. Which sucks.
-I'm drawing, though! A little. I'm horribly bad, but...I like drawing, and it's fun.
-What I am prepping for, however, is starting an actual, honest to god, quasi-journalistic blog. Focusing on art. It's a topic I am educated in, and I like talking about things. With some self-promotion, I hope to...be mildly popular? :P It needs a name, still, but it's going to launch...I'm saying next next Monday (first Monday in July). I'm in the content generation phase, from which we will move to completely failing at layout, from which we will launch to zero readers!
-I also have a deviantart now. My name is TrueAxiom, if you are so inclined as to look me up. Mostly did it because I like seeing other people's art (and judging it!) but...heh. I post stuff fairly regularly, as I look through my hard drive.
My life is boring. :P
