Proposition 8 and other state bans on gay marriage. UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!

 Dear reader,
I would like to bring to your attention the unconstitutional nature of Proposition 8 and other propositions passed in other states banning gay-marriage. Firstly these acts discriminate against the gay community denying them the right to marry the person they love. Marriage is about love, not gender. Secondly, it violates the separation of Church and State. The Church says gay marriage is immoral based on religious belief and they in that context have the right but when it comes to the State they have a right to the people, not their religious beliefs. So what I am saying is that the State and its people should put aside such beliefs when voting in something that only has to do with the State and has nothing to do with the Church.

I would also like to bring up the intolerance people have shown. Honestly, if you are straight and your marriage is in trouble that is your fault and protection under the law is not going to change that. So when you voted yes to such a measure you were saying that you think that if gay couples were allowed to marry your marriage would be more likely to fail. That is utterly stupid and intolerant.

Hopefully in the future we can all see eye to eye and maybe we will be able to walk into a future that is bright for all.
