Heiress to the Amagi Hotel fortune, an obvious target for would be kidnappers. Her family lived in some place called Inaba before moving. It seems her family didn't agree with the government and was “asked” to relocate. This could be related to the case, need to do a follow up. Last known appearance was at the inn her family is laying low at. She was serving as a hostess....
Chie Satonaka

Friend of Amagi's, still lives in Inaba as far as I know. I received a letter from her on the 10th, she begged me to find out what had happened to Amagi after hearing word she has vanished. The two seem to be very close. Wrote her back today, will follow up after receiving reply.
Ken (kanji)

Young tough who works at the local textile place, his mom run's the joint. Don't know much about him, though saw him talking to a short guy in a police getup. Might have to do with the case, will look into it. Consider it a low priority, though.
Dojima-san
30-something
The guy who runs the office, also my uncle. Taught me everything I know and then some. Is currently at the scene of the kidnapping. Left me to mind the shop and keep track of leads. Better write some nice stuff about him....

This is me, I came here from Japan just a few weeks ago. My family thought it would be good for me to see something new while they were away on business. I will be here for one year as of today, attending Miskatonic Academy during the day and working with my uncle Dojima. He has me doing clerical work, I really want to work in the field but he says its to dangerous for a girl my age.

The old man's contact in the local police department. A bit of a bumbler, no need to keep track of him.
Places
Arkham
Small town of about 6000 people. A major seaport for the region, most information travels in and out via the shipping lanes. Home to Miskatonic University, fairly famous school for digging up old bones and stuff like that. Seems to be a center for supernatural happenings, locals are very superstitious. Seems they think some kind of demon lurks in the countryside, I don't believe a word of it.
Our office is located in the shopping district, next to the docks. Its a small place, but its near a key information gateway.
Inaba
A small town in Japan, Amagi and her friend are from there. Don't know much else about it.
The Velvet Music shop
Place run by a mysterious old man with a big nose, seems to sell antique and new instruments and record players. I really should talk to that guy about the Amagi radio...
The Radio Dreamer incident
This is the case Dojima and I are working on now. It all started about a few weeks ago, we got a report that the only daughter of the Amagi family had mysteriously gone missing the night before. Upon reaching the family inn we were led to the girl's bed room. Oddly no objects in the room were disturbed , the windows were bolted shut, and the door was locked the entire time. It seemed, against all logic, Amagi had vanished into thin air. The only clue we had to go on was a antique radio found by the girl's bed. According to Amagi's parent's it never played music, save for a few minutes of odd flute music and chanting just before midnight. The radio is currently in police hands, Dojima is hoping we can give it a once over sometime next week.

Found the name of the short police officer, sources all say its “Naoto”. Apprently he is the youngest member of the Inaba police department and was sent from Japan just for this case... My best bet is the Japanese government is trying to cover up their tracks when it comes to the Amagi exile. Dojima-san is at the office give that radio the old college try. So, all I can do for now is wait and pour over the case files.

A new girl in town, her family runs a local grocery store. She stopped by the shop after her best friend turned up dead, impaled on the telephone pole outside her home. She begged me to help her, I'm not one to turn away a person in need so I said yes. Gonna have to clear this with Dojima when he gets home...

Got her letter back today, dame seems to think something supernatural is going on here. Rumor going around Inaba is if you listen to the static between radio stations at midnight; you will hear the name of your true love spoken. Despite the lunacy of it all its all I have to go on. Going to try it tonight.
