This time featuring U-1224, I-8 and Bismarck!
Warning: Dark Comic at the end ;3;
Japanisches Kaiserreich Mitternacht Marine is a comic by Rokuzaki, and can be found here
http://nocturna.noor.jp/n-n/noctnavy.htm Feat. U-1224 first meets I-8! I-8 meeting Bismarck and U-1224's special promise to his Big Brother.
http://nocturna.noor.jp/n-n/nn02ill91sen.htm for this comic here, although since this is a long post I added the link to each panel to avoid confusion lol.
The submarine is now described.
Comic 1
Panel 1
Higher up: It seems today submarine I-8 will be arriving from Japan. No matter what, we must not be impolite; we'll be counting on you.
U-1224: Understood!
Panel 2
A Japanese submarine... I wonder why kind of person he is? Submarine I-8 is a very famous, wonderful and strong name. I hear Japanese people are very polite and have incredible tolerance; in the midst of silence, hiding from the attacks of enemies - the perfect image of a proud submarine.
I want to hear so much about the type 95 torpedoes that he carries... I'd love to be acquainted with him...
Panel 3
I-8: Submarine I-8 has arrived hahahaha*!! I sneaked here to Germany all the way from Japan! Pffft, aren't I great?! Hahahaha! Oh? Aha! A genuine foreigner, ktkr*!! Let's take a photo for commemoration!!
[*ktkr is an abbreviation for the Japanese expression "kita kore", lit. "it has come", "it came!" Usually expressed after a certain event or occurrence which satisfied a certain expectation of the viewer/commenter.]
Panel 4
U-1224: Y-You're a submarine even though you're this noisy?!
I-8: What? It that some kind of German joke?
(Small text: Ah, here. This is isn't much but have some raw rubber and stuff.)
The Japanese submarines of this time weren't trained for stealth, but rather "battleships capable of submerging"; they were big and extremely annoying.
(Small text: And then the Germans got angry at him.)
Comic 2
Box: But they got along right away.
U-1224: I 'followed' you~
I-8: In Germany now...
Comic 3
Tiwtter
Bismarck: I would like to hear your opinion. What's your view on the role of submarines? So I-8..?
I-8: I was raised like the vase.. the flower holder of the battleships. A safety net for the main focus. In all being a submarine is a dark existence.
U-1224: That's because Japan is still shallow on it's knowledge of Submarines!
Aircraft carriers, battleships, fighter planes then us. I expect us to be the rulers of the sea next.
Comic 4
U-1224: You're so arrogant and outdated. Your era is ending soon. Why don't you just go live somewhere in secrecy already?
Bismarck: I'll do anything for victory no matter how dirty I need to get my hands.
Box: I-8 just stays silent whenever two Germans are talking now.
Deutsch navy top and bottom of the sea in bad terms.
… But the U-boats were still in service with a promise..
Comic 5
(FLASH BACK)
Bismarck: What's this? A promise?
U-1224: Yes!
Bismarck: You are towing me to safety? That'll be nice!
U-1224: I U-boat, hereby declare before Neptune, the ruler of the oceans, lakes, seas, rivers, brooks, ponds and rills, that we will stand beside our big brother, the battleship Bismarck, whatever may befall him on the water, land or air. The captain and crew of U-boat.
Comic 6
Bismarck: Even though you are small. You are already such an impressive sailor. I am looking forward to when you fulfil this promise..!
(Back to current time after U-1224 and I-8 have left)
Bismarck: ….... Left behind on the times huh?
Even if my body is left behind in the times, a battleships existence is needed right now....
It's good to be independent but just as I expected, he's still young...
I lost to the teenage rebellious phase.
U-boat and his siblings gave Bismarck a vow of service. They became friends and this is the actual vow the Captain of the U-boat gave the Captain of the Bismarck.
http://www.bismarck-class.dk/bismarck/miscellaneous/special_bond/pictures/patentschafts.gif It almost seemed as though it was a prophecy when he prepared that certificate above.
Help against aircraft and torpedoes, and then a tow. That was exactly what the Bismarck needed, and he of all people, u-boat, was near. But he was powerless to help...
Although U-boat was alone, and despite the lack of fuel and torpedoes, he stayed close by and chose to risk his life to call for Help.
There was only time to slightly touch on this serious issue for this Author.
Comic 7
U-1224: This is U-boat! Right now, I don't have any ammunition or torpedoes!
Currently Bismarck is in battle with the British! Even if it is him... he cannot defeat the entire British navy alone....
Aren’t other ally submarines here yet? Even the air force would do! Quick! Someone come quickly! Anyone! If you don't come fast he'll die! He'll die right in front of my eyes!
BISMAAAAAAARCK!!
Sure, and he was alone with a lonely smile like always.
(a note from me~! )
No secret I adore Bismarck. I am very excited to see the introduction of Prince of wales. Prince Of wales was the British Battleship that managed to sink The Bismarck.
This song.. It's from a very old movie, redone here by the blues Brothers "Sink the Bismarck" It's actually a pretty good summery from the British point of view.
