Hmmm... that kind of sounds like the title of a bad porno movie. Lol! For those who haven't been following, I'm slowly making my way through
30 Days of Skins and
30 Days of X-Files. Time for the third installation:
Skins Day 3: Least Favourite Gen 1 Character
It seems like every day I have one super easy question and one slightly-more-difficult question. The Skins question falls under "easy" today. This is mostly because the Gen 1 characters were all SO GOOD that one of them was bound to come off looking bad in comparison. My least fav Gen 1 character is:
Anwar Kharral (Lol. I chose this pic because Sid is also in it. <3 SID. He makes everything better). ANYWAY...
Anwar was quite simply the only character in Gen 1 that I thought was just TOO much. He was too animated, too excitable, too "tryin' too hard to be gangsta", and too bizarre/unbelievable when it came to his "relationship" with Sketch. I mean... dying your hair blonde to look like your best friend and then expecting him not to figure out why you've done it? I know it was meant to be "funny", but that was one of the few moments in Gen 1 that legitimately made me groan.
Yes, it can be argued that the other characters could also be a bit "over the top" sometimes, but at the end of the day they all still felt genuine. Even when Anwar had his (two?) emotional moments, they felt forced and out-of-place for whatever reason.
Meh. Moving along...
X-files Day 3: Favourite X-files Movie Scene
I can only assume that 99.999999% of the people who actually completed this meme have probably listed the same scene as their favourite from Fight The Future, and while the hallway scene IS amazing (the UST during this scene is off the charts even for M&S) it's still not my favourite scene in the whole movie. It's up there, but it's not my favourite. Guh... I HAVE to include a picture, though. Here:
GDFHALG;JDSAGSDHG;AD!! *melts*
Still... not my favourite. My favourite scene is actually Mulder and Scully's first scene in the whole movie: The rooftop scene.
The rooftop scene is awesome because it contains an extremely rare moment of role reversal and Scully-humour. In the beginning of the scene, Mulder sneaks up and scares her as they talk to each other on the phone. When they go to re-enter the building, Scully tries the door only to find that it's locked (oh, and there might be a bomb somewhere in the building). Turns out she's lying, but before we learn this we get to see a tiny moment of panic from Mulder, followed by matching smirks and Scully's wonderfully simple, "I got you."
I love seeing moments of humour between them, because it shows how close they are. I also adore the role reversal technique in... well pretty much any instance, and this can only be effective if the characters are well-defined.
