So I got a 20% discount card for shitty bookstore chain in town (eg. the one that's not Waterstones or Borders *sigh*) Anyone have recommended reads that I might be able to find in a not-very-big not-very-specialist store? I really want to read the House of Leaves, but I'm not sure they will stock it. I have a pile of about ten books I'm reading or waiting to read right now, but I'm going to Paris by train in September and will need some good stuff to read.
Oh since I'm going to Paris any French language comic or manga recs would be welcome. I think my hotel is not far away from Shakespeare & Co., so I definitely plan to splurge if I can.
