D'awwwwwwwwww. ^^

I love your little vignettes from when they're more than friends, but not quite in a relationship yet... as my fic idea sort of skipped that bit entirely, it's really cool to see someone else's take on it. And this was very sweet, very realistic too. I loved how important it was that Sephiroth apologized, both in terms of him struggling with his ego and with Hotaru recognizing how unusual and sincere it was. It's funny, they are both very confused by each other and struggle to understand each other (e.g. Sephiroth doesn't realize how his cutting remarks hurt her) and yet, when it comes down to it, they know each other all too well. So sweet! ^_^

I gotta get back to my little ficlet before I head off to Egypt. XD I'll post it in bunnycurry when it's done. Warning: while it's Seph/Hotaru, it's not actually interaction between them... rather, it's sort of their relationship through the eyes of one of the other Senshi. Which one? You'll have to wait and find out. ;-)

EDIT: Also, two more things:
- oooh, Hayley Westenra! I got one of her albums (Odyssey) but haven't heard that song yet, will have to check it out! And if you have access to a Wii and like Hayley, you should totally get Endless Ocean; the soundtrack is like a Best of Hayley Westenra selection. ^^

- you should know that I check my flist almost every day with the hope I'll see one of your fics to perk up my day. ^^ (not that I'm pressuring you to write, of course, just know that your fics are anticipated and enjoyed ^^)

Awwww...thanks. =^^= I'm glad it came off as realistic and sweet. I really like writing about this stage of their relationship, when I'm not writing smutty scenes. I like watching them try to sort through their feelings. Believe or not these short little scenes are harder to write than those epic smut fics. ;-) I always want and try to take them further and make them longer. However, when I try to do so, it usually ends up messing with the dynamic and simplicity of the moment; then I just cut the extra stuff out, write one or two more lines, and voila--scenes's done.

Just like you check your friend's list for my fics, so I check mine for your fics. ^^ You must post soon (no pressure or anything). You're going to Egypt?! *is so jeeloose* What's taking you there, if you don't mind my asking? More importantly, I should be asking if you'll be able to write fanfic there...maybe that Caesar/Cleopatra themed one....lolz.

"Who Painted the Moon Black" is actually on Hayley's first album "Pure." I will have to go check out Endless Ocean then because I've really taken a great liking to Hayley.

Haha, I can imagine these scenes being harder to write... you've got to show the deep respect, affection, and developing love they have for each other, while not making it all obvious and openly romantic. ^_^ In contrast, the smut scenes have their challenges, but at least you can have Sephiroth and Hotaru being all schmoopy all over each other and it fits that stage of their relationship. XD Of course, I like the occasional bit of schmoop. ;-) But yeah, whereas with a smut fic you can, say, have Sephiroth openly admitting his adoration, this sort of fic has to involve him not recognizing his own feelings, reaching out to Hotaru without confessing anything, etc etc... you do a great job with it. ^^

Oooh, well now I really should get back to it! I'm off to Egypt as part of my parents taking a three-four month tour around Europe; they're going to begin with three weeks in Egypt, and as I've been a fangirl of Ancient Egypt since I was a little girl, I just had to come with them. ^^ I don't know if I'll be able to write fanfic there... I don't have a laptop, and while I can certainly try and borrow Dad's, it could get a bit difficult. If not, I'll try and return fresh with some new ideas... for example, I always think it would be neat to have some "travel" fic with Seph/Hotaru with Hotaru showing him parts of the world.

I highly recommend Endless Ocean. Not just because there's tons of Hayley's music in it (off hand, the ones I remember are Prayer, Shenandoah, Pokarekare Ana (?), The Water is Wide, Benedictus, Amazing Grace, and a few New Zealand ones I can't remember). It's just a lovely experience. There is a "game" in there, but really, the point is to swim around in this beautiful South Pacific sea and poke at fish. It's hypnotic and incredibly engrossing. Actually, I confess it's embarassed me, as it revealed rather dramatically that I have a fear of deep sea diving. Seriously, with Benedictus playing and some random giant squid or sperm whale suddenly looming out of pitch black just as the orchestra "exploded", I'd rocket into the air shrieking. Oh yeah. I am IRON WOMAN.

Yes, once again you need to write ASAP, especially if you're going to leave fangirldom for a whole three weeks...lol. ;-) I was unware of the fact that you didn't have a laptop; in that case it's perfectly understandable that you don't write, plus parents being around has got to make things awkward or at least put a damper on your "smut vibe" (for lack of a better way to put it). A travel fic would be very nice and sweet to write. I've shamefully neglected my paper writing in favor of writing another fic and a ficlet.

Endless Ocean sounds like something I would get seriously addicted to for no real reason. It's one of those, this game is pointless but I can't stop playing; need to poke more fish!

Hate school right now and welcoming the idea of summer. So much writing and none of it is really fun. Theory is going to kick my ass. Wish I could take a trip to Egypt or Europe; my mother offered me the choice between a trip and money for graduation. It was rather cruel on her part because she knows that I need the money to save for grad school because she told me from the beginning she would only pay for four years of college. Summer will include one class and a full time job; nevertheless, I'll probably have more time to be fangirlsih. *sigh* Hoping that I'll not only get accepted into WMU for Medieval Studies, but get a TA job too; I didn't get one for U of L. A TA job would make paying for grad school all the easier.
